چکیده
Anaerobic co-digestion (ACD), where two or more substrates are digested simultaneously, is able to prevent the problems associated with mono-digestion. The aim of this study develop a simulation model ACD food waste (FW) sewage sludge (SS) for biogas production coupled pre-treatment, handling and upgrading using SuperPro Designer v9.0. Design Expert v13 employed perform optimization evaluate effect hydraulic retention time (HRT), recycle ratio, water feed ratio (kg/kg) SS FW on methane flow, chemical oxygen demand (COD) volatile solids (VS). results show that yield 0.29 L CH4/g COD removed, removal efficiency 81.5% VS 69.2% obtained HRT 38.8 days, 0.048, 0.438 0.044. Economic analysis has shown feasible payback 6.2 years, net present value (NPV) $5,283,000 internal return rate (IRR) 10.2%. This indicates economically in larger scale.

Anaerobic co-digestion of coffee waste and sewage sludge.
The feasibility of the anaerobic co-digestion of coffee solid waste and sewage sludge was assessed. Five different solid wastes with different chemical properties were studied in mesophilic batch assays, providing basic data on the methane production, reduction of total and volatile solids and hydrolysis rate constant. Most of the wastes had a methane yield of 0.24-0.28 m3 CH4(STP)/kg VS(initia...

Abstact: The aim of the research project was to carry out the co-digestion of organic fraction of solid municipal waste in the form of source separated kitchen waste and sewage sludge. The influence of the kitchen waste as a co-substrate on the stability and efficiency of the process was determined. Mesophilic fermentation (36 ̊C) was conducted for sewage sludge as well as mixtures of sewage slu...
متن کاملBiogas Production from Fish Wastes in Co-digestion with Sewage Sludge
Fish wastes have great potential as a source of high valued organic carbon for methane production but also have limitation (high content of ammonia nitrogen). Anaerobic treatment of fish wastes is possible with co-digestion. The main issue for co-digestion process lies in balancing several parameters in the co-substrate mixture: macroand micronutrients, C:N ratio, pH, toxic compounds, biodegrad...
